SympathyCardsDirect Content, Recipients, & Sharing:
When you use the SympathyCardsDirect client software, all of your pictures and related content (“Content”) are viewable only by you unless you explicitly share them with others.
SympathyCardsDirect does of course share Customer Information with third party vendors (for example, credit card authorization companies, photo processing laboratories, shipping distributors, etc.) who help us fulfill SympathyCardsDirect orders. Your Customer Information is provided to these third parties solely for the purpose of providing you the services you request at the time that you request them. Third party intermediaries do not store, retain, access or otherwise use your Customer Information other than as necessary to provide you with the SympathyCardsDirect service.
Your Content may also be seen by SympathyCardsDirect employees or law enforcement agencies only to the extent (i) necessary to fulfill your order or to evaluate, validate, or correct problems with your account, (ii) the law or legal process requires it, or (iii) it is necessary to do so to protect the rights or property of SympathyCardsDirect or others.
SympathyCardsDirect uses Cookies. Cookies are data files that are written onto your computer by a website, and stay there unless removed by you. Cookies enable us to recognize your computer when you revisit the Site, and recall your Site preferences to enhance your experience in using the Site. We do not use cookies to collect or use any information about your visits to other websites and do not knowingly allow any third party (other than our affiliates) to create cookies or otherwise collect any information from our Site. User Submitted Content and Ownership:
You may submit text and images or other content to SympathyCardsDirect ("User Content.") Images that are provided to you by professional photographers or made available through websites, magazines, books or other resources, are protected by copyright and should not be uploaded or copied using SympathyCardsDirect. You represent and warrant that you are the owner of any User Content or otherwise have the legal right to submit the User Content. You grant SympathyCardsDirect permission to (1) use, copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, reproduce, edit, modify, translate and reformat the User Content, and (2) sublicense these rights, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
SympathyCardsDirect respects the intellectual property rights of others. We claim no ownership rights in any image contained in any of your uploaded photos. SympathyCardsDirect does not use, publish or share your digital images or prints with any third party, except vendors as described above or otherwise as required by law. Digital images are used exclusively to fulfill your print orders.
You should make backup copies of any User Content submitted to us. SympathyCardsDirect is not liable to you for the loss of any User Content.
You agree that we have the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we otherwise find objectionable. We may not screen User Content before it is uploaded.
You may not upload, send, submit, publish, or transmit in connection with this site any material that includes programs which contain viruses, worms and/or Trojan horses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications, or that includes MP3 format (music) files.
Enforcement:
If for some reason you believe The Company has not adhered to the principles of this Privacy Statement, please notify us by e-mail at service@sympathycardsdirect.com, and we will do our best to determine and correct the problem promptly.

a. Links. The Site may contain links to other sites, however, please be aware that The Company is not responsible for and cannot control the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave the Site, and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Statement applies solely to information collected by SympathyCardsDirect.
b. Notification of Privacy Statement Changes. We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time, and you may visit this page to learn of our revised Privacy Policy.
c. Opt-out Postcards and Privacy Policy Availability. While postage-free opt-out postcards are sent with each order as well as to each customer in the first catalog mailing of the year, such cards, as well as a hard copy of this Privacy Policy are available by request, either by email to service@sympathycardsdirect.com, or by toll-free telephone to 800-730-1024.
